The sawmill Les Bois Desroches Inc . has been in operation since 1960, and was founded by Mr. Bertrand Desroches in the Lanaudière region. Mr. Desroches has always worked in wood processing, or over 45 years.

It is from this experience that Mr. Desroches decided one day to build his own sawmill in order to better meet the needs and tastes of the market. Over the years, the son of Mr. Desroches were involved in the family business and have solid experience in the field of wood processing.

In 1987, the sawmill was the victim of a fire that completely destroyed the factory. A few months before the fire, upgrades were switched in order to make the mill more productive and efficient.
Following this catastrophe, Mr. Desroches has decided to retire while the son had every intention of continuing the activities of the company by delivering it up by building a new sawmill.

Rebuilding project::.
